Precinct Gets New Constable

February 27, 2015 by Willy1550

Grimes County Precincts 3 and 4 have a new constable.  Out of three candidates interviewed by county commissioners Tuesday, Wesley Male officially took office Wednesday (02/25) after being chosen by the court for the appointment.

Grimes County Judge Ben Leman tells Navasota News that after brief interviews with all of them behind closed doors it was Male who clearly came out on top.

It helped that Male is a Grimes County native, Leman adds, meaning he has already formed a relationship with the community he wants to, and will now serve.

We at Navasota News join others in congratulating the county’s newly minted constable, and more so to our outgoing public servant Ann Weaks, who can now officially hang up her badge and enjoy her retirement.
