Man driving erratically near Grimes County line jailed on marijuana charges

July 13, 2022 by Andre Perrard

Reports of a man driving erratically, and entering a ditch near the Grimes County line, end with his arrest on drug charges.

The arrest report from Brazos County on Monday says they stopped the car near the Navasota River, after watching the car drive illegally on the shoulder, and make an exit off the highway at an unauthorized point.

The driver, 23 year old Elroy Jesus Sandoval Jr. of Rio Hondo, said at first there were no drugs, then said  that there were drugs in the car, but he was not sure where.

A search of the car yielded marijuana, a grinder, and swisher sweet cigarillo’s. Sandoval was taken to jail, and faces charges of Possession of Marijuana, and remains in jail on bonds totaling $3,000.
