Massively Expensive Tire Dump

June 25, 2018 by Willy1550

If an elderly Grimes County property owner had paid closer attention to what his dogs were barking at early one Monday morning a couple of weeks ago, he may have caught the person or persons who dumped a lot of tires on an isolated portion of his 30 acres.

Local Realtor Max Brand is attempting to sell Billy Pope’s property off of FM 3090, and says an approaching storm made getting rid of the 115 truck tires not only an economic necessity, but also a health issue.

Brand reasons somebody must have paid for somebody to get rid of all of those tires, and instead of disposing of them property, they dumped them on Pope’s property, and it was very costly to get rid of them, around $1300 to be precise, Brand explains, even after members of his New Hope Church pitched in to help.

And unfortunately, he tells Navasota News, the tires themselves didn’t yield any clues as to who may have dumped them, as they were used truck tires of many varieties, so all you can really tell where they came from, other than it has to be someone who deals in truck tires.

If anyone has any idea who might be responsible, Brand asks them to call the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office at 936-873-2151.
