McDonalds Serves More than Burgers to B/CS

April 14, 2018 by Willy1550

Former Grimes County Ag Extension Agent Tanner Williams is still around.  He’s just switched hats and is now the development director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas.

Williams reports Ronald McDonald House has a presence at all three hospitals in the Brazos Valley.  That’s at CHI St. Joseph, the College Station Medical Center and Baylor Scott and White.

William says the goal of the Ronald McDonald House Charities is to keep families close to each other when children are in medical need.

So when children are in need of specialized treatments, Ronald McDonald House has it’s own family unit on site at St. Jo to create sort-of a home away from home.

In addition, Tanner tells Navasota News, they use what’s called “Happy Wheels Carts” at both The Med and Baylor Scott and White that provides free toiletries and snacks twice a day.

To find out more about Ronald McDonald House services and how they may help you, visit, rmhc-ctx.org, or call Williams at 979-485-54-73, extension 401.
