The Miller Theater, A Navasota landmark that has been on the market since 2017, still sits empty.
“We had a few folks that were interested int hat, and leasing the equipment. That did not come to fruition,” said Navasota City Manager Brad Stafford, during an episode of Grilling Stafford this week.
He mentioned that a lot of the equipment is likely in disrepair now.
He also said seeing the theater stay empty is sad, but if the right people come in, they could do just about anything with the property.
“Even if they do not go in with a theater. Maybe, come in with live music, who knows. There are a lot of ideas that could be taken care of in an old theater. Maybe something will happen,” said Stafford.
Stafford said, as of right now, there are currently no interested parties in buying the property.
