Millican Drug Dealer Gets 35 Years… For Now

June 2, 2015 by Willy1550

A Millican man is awaiting transfer to prison after a Grimes County jury found him guilty of selling a little more than an ounce of meth to undercover officers.

District Attorney Tuck McLane tells Navasota News, his office, the DEA, ATF and the Navasota Police Department have been cooperating in an effort to crack down on mid-to low-level drug dealers, and says 39-year-old Rickey Charles Perry Jr’s arrest and subsequent conviction is only one of many cases that are being brought to his office.

Mclane says he is pleased with the case’s outcome, especially because it was prosecuted by Assistant DA’s Jo-Ann Linzer and Ronnie Yeates. And, he hopes this shows other dealers still on the loose what happens when you mess with Texas.

As for Perry, McLane continues, the jury sentenced him to 35 years behind bars as Friday may 22nd and there could be more waiting for him in Brazos County, as charges have also been filed against him there.
