A Millican man is in jail for the 7th time after allegedly hitting his mother in the face.
Brazos County deputies responded to the home on Wingfall Street Monday afternoon, where the mother of the man said they has argued over a cell phone.
The man then hit her with closed fits numerous, according to the report, and she showed swelling around the eyes, mouth, and jaw. The report also says the man told her not to leave, and she felt unsafe leaving to report the assault until he fell asleep.
When officers made contact with 26 year old Kaleb Perry of Millican, he immediately requested legal counsel.
Perry faces a charge of Unlawful Restraint, and Assault on Family Member with Previous Conviction.
He was most recently serving a 2 year sentence for 2020 charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Perry remains in jail on bonds totaling $12,000.
