UPDATE: Missing Grimes County man found safe in Hearne

The missing person that sent the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office on a search on Thursday has been found safe.

On Thursday around 2:30 pm, 22 year old Matthew Reardon was reported missing by the Sheriff’s Office. At 5:15 pm, an update was released stating that Reardon had been found safe in Hearne.

The office thanked people for their efforts and calls in getting Reardon found.

ORIGINAL STORY:

The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in finding a missing person.

According to a Facebook post on Thursday afternoon, authorities are looking for 22 year old Matthew Reardon. He is 6’3, about 135 pounds with long hair, and short mustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, jeans, and no shoes.

Reardon has possibly walked to the College Station area, according to authorities. His mother says Matthew is autistic, and has made statements about being suicidal.It is not known where he was last seen.

If you locate him, or his location is known, they ask that you contact the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office at 936-873-2151.
