Highway 105 westbound, between the Navasota and Brazos Rivers, was shut down for a few hours on Tuesday afternoon, after a crash caused delays.
That happened around 1 pm, when a mobile drilling machine was travelling east bound on Highway 105. The truck experienced tire and mechanical failure, and crashed into the bridge guardrail, which crosses over the Navasota River.
Hazmat crews, as well as Navasota Police, Texas DPS and the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office assisted on the scene, as traffic was whittled down to one lane for about two hours.
The roadway was reopened around 3:30 pm.
There were no reports of injuries from the incident.
