A trio of accidents Monday afternoon in Grimes County caused some traffic issues on Highway 6.
The first crash happened on Highway 6 near FM 3090 in Grimes County. According to Navasota PD, an 18 wheeler was staled on the highway, and another driver ran into the parked 18 wheeler. That driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Southbound traffic on Highway 6 was diverted onto the feeder while the scene was cleared.
The second occurred on Highway 6 just south of Navasota near FM 2. A pickup truck rolled over into the median, causing traffic to slow in both north and southbound lanes. Traffic was slowed to one lane before the accident was cleared. No word on the condition of the driver.
A third crash was reported around 2:30 pm, when the driver of a single car ran into the back of a work convoy near FM 2 once again. No major injuries were reported and the scene was cleared within an hour.
