A deputy in Montgomery County has been arrested.
The Precinct 3 Constable’s Office said that the officer was arrested for receiving and distributing child pornography on February 28th.
The officer, 41 year old Daniel Lynch, became a central piece of an investigation by the Texas Rangers and Homeland Security, following a cyber-tip about child pornography.
According to authorities, Lynch did not cooperate and was immediately fired.
He is being charged with Possession of Child Pornography.
