A Montgomery County murder suspect has been found dead after a SWAT stand-off in Cypress last Thursday.
According to authorities, the Harris Couty SWAT team found 27 year old Christopher Julian inside his father’s home just before 6 pm. They say he was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Area citizen’s were told to stay inside after detectives said Julian opened fire on them outside the home earlier in the day. Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said multiple shots were fired at them and SWAT members. No officers were hit and they did not return fire at the suspect.
Julian was being tracked by authorities after being accused of killing his friend, and shooting his girlfriend, in two separate incidents last week. The first happened Tuesday in Tomball, when he shot at his girlfriend. Investigators charged Julian with aggravated assault from that scene.
The second incident was on Wednesday, where authorities found 27 year old Samuel Schmitt shot dead in Magnolia.
Witnesses told deputies that Schmitt and Julian, who are long-time friends, were talking inside of the home when Julian went outside, came back and started shooting Schmitt.
No further information was released.
