Mosquitos Test Positive for West Nile Virus in Grimes County

The Brazos County health district has announced more mosquitos have tested positive for West Nile virus in more places. Those locations include the College Station zip codes of 77840 and 77845, the Bryan zip codes of 77802 and 77803, the Burleson County zip code of 77836, the Grimes County zip code of 77868, and the Leon County zip code of 75833.

Testing for West Nile that is coordinated by the health district also includes Robertson, Madison, and Washington counties.

Preventative measures to not get bit includes draining standing water, wearing long, loose, and light-colored clothing, and using insect repellent containing DEET.
