The mother of the Iola man charged with the April 2021 mass shooting at Kent Moore Cabinets in Bryan tells Brazos County commissioners that her son was the victim of gang violence.
Dixie Bollin says her son Larry “had every right to use self-defense”.
“They were after him, a gang at Kent Moore Cabinets, and they were aware of this. Our son went to bosses several times, as well as other co-workers, and was denied protection,” Bollin said.
She also told commissioners that a Texas Ranger asked her and another son about a man wearing a red shirt, and driving a red Toyota Tundra pickup.
“The man in the red truck was shooting at our son multiple times, while he was in my car. He was arrested, held for several days and nights, released, and was told to leave town. This has all been hidden from the news, or they are just no reporting it. Only they know that,” said Bollin.
Bollin was at Commissioner’s Court in August as well, stating her son was being denied access to phone calls.
The district attorney’s office tells Navasota News that they can not comment about the specifics of the investigation and prosecution of Larry Bollin.
