A Navasota local is in the running for a national business award!
The Muddy Water Bookstore is up for the The Indie, otherwise known at the Independent Small Business of the Year Award. Voting is taking place through November 17th.
Owner of the Muddy Water Bookstore, Suzie Linnenbank, says part of the reason for the nomination comes from working together with other small businesses.
“That idea that small businesses can work together…I really like to promote that by having all kinds of different events. Savanger hunts, just different functions that involve the businesses downtown. So, people get to explore stores and shops they have never been in before just because they are part of some event I am putting on,” said Linnenbank.
The winner of the award will be announced on November 25th. In the meantime, you can vote for Muddy Water Bookstore in the competition at independentwestand.org/indies/home.
