It’s funny when the reason you choose to marry someone turns out to be the same reason you want to kill them. That’s the basic story in the Navasota Theatre Alliance’s newest production, “Dial M for Murder.” At least, Director Earlene Rainey hopes it’ll be funny.
Rainey says this particular playwright also wrote, “Wait Until Dark,” which also has a thrilling, frightening moment in the play where everything is scary. He likes that.
And while she admits that this adult comedy is really not suitable for the very little ones, she insists your teens will have a good time.
While they do discuss an extra-marital affair, so this is an adult plotline, she says there’s no bad language and some light-hearted moments that teenagers will enjoy.
Dial M for Murder continues a three-week run at Navasota’s Sunny Furman through May 14th. Get tickets at navasotatheatre.org, Navasota Theatre Alliance on Facebook, or by calling 936-825-3195.
