A shooting in Navasota on Wednesday night killed one man, as the suspect remains on the loose.
That happened at Laredo Heights apartments around 8 pm Wednesday night. No details have been made about how exactly the shooting transpired, but one man, identified as 45 year old Clifton Love of Navasota, was airlifted to the hospital in serious condition.
Police Chief Shawn Myatt said that Love succumbed to his inures around 4:15 am.
The suspect is still on the loose, and was identified by NPD as 37 year old Leon Burrell Jr. of Navasota. He was seen last in a beige Buick, which was found and seized by NPD on Thursday morning in town. Burrell Jr. is considered armed and dangerous, and either got a ride, or ran away from the area.
An arrest warrant was issued for Burrell Jr. on Thursday morning.
