There was an update at Monday’s City Council meeting about the Fire Hydrant Replacement Project. According to Public works director, Jennifer Reyna, the City received eight bids for the project, with the lowest bid being Kieshnick General Contractors out of College Station.
Reyna said the low bid will allow the City to replace an addition 10 hydrants, and they should be able to complete the replacements without having any water outages.
City Council approved the bid from Kieshnick General Contractors in the amount of $440, 250.00
