A relatively new business model is being courted by the City of Navasota to hopefully fix what’s been called the historic downtown area’s current “food drought.”
The City’s Sarah Korpita says it’s opened the doors for food truck vendors to work in the downtown central business district from seven in the morning to seven at night, seven days a week.
Unfortunately, Korpita reports the response so-far has not been that great, but she says she’s happy to see a snow cone stand and a few others set up shop, and hopes more will follow.
So if you or someone you know would like to establish a wheeled-eatery downtown, she continues, the process is simple, just fill out a form in Navasota City Hall then get out there and sell your goods.
