The Navasota Center is getting a brand new roof, at no cost to the city.
At Monday’s City Council meeting, finance director Lance Hall presented what the Texas Municipal League found when inspecting the roof.
“They did find old damage from April of last year. They approved the claim…the bid is $83,495.50 to replace the roof at the Navasota Center, which will be covered by TML funds,” Hall said.
“Completely covered?” asked councilman Bernie Gessner.
“Yes, completely covered,” replied Hall.
“Wow,” said Gessner. “That does not happen often.”
Hall again said this will cost the city no money for the roof, they will only be responsible for the deductible.
