On Monday February 26th , Navasota City Council held a special workshop meeting for discussion on Public Improvement Districts (PIDs) by Hawes Hill & Associates.
City Manager Jason Weeks explained what PIDs are, and how they help a growing city.
Weeks also explained how PIDs are different from Municipal Utility Districts (MUD)
Scott Bean with Hawes Hill & Associates explained the process of how PIDs are created.
Bean gave details on what happens next after a PID is created.
The administration of the PID is strictly the responsibility of the City, with no oversight boards.
