Among the agenda items at yesterday’s Navasota City Council meeting, was consideration and possible action on the appointment, employment, evaluation, and duties of the City Manager, including but not limited to approval of an employment agreement with the City Manager, and associated matters.
After convening in executive session for over two and a half hours, during which time they also discussed the evaluation of the City Secretary, council reconvened in open session citing they are, “still considering this item and will take no action at this time.”
Council held a special meeting on February 19, 2025, to select a finalist to replace former City Manager Jason Weeks. They unanimously voted for Dickinson City Manager Theo Melancon.
