For the last few Navasota City Council meetings, the topic of the groundwater storage tank has been at the near forefront of discussion since a construction error caused a crack in the tank.
The City and DN Tanks have gone back and forth, with DN stating they have a fix and the city stating they want a brand new tank. Finally, at Tuesday’s city council meeting, a decision on what to do was reached
The council unanimously approved the motion to make DN Tanks tear down the existing tank and build a new one. Next, the city will begin the process of notifying DN Tanks to proceed with demolition next. There is no set timeline for the demolition or construction of the new tank.
