Navasota City Manager says town need for additional water tower increasing

July 29, 2021 by Andre Perrard

College Station is getting a new water tower on Highway 6, due to increased water usage. And as the population increases in Navasota, City Manager Brad Stafford says that is something they need to consider soon.

“We are doing a water modeling right now. That is part of how we try to figure out ‘do we need a water tower? Do we need to add pumps? New wells?’ Anything like that. We are getting really close with our growth to needing something,” Stafford said.

“There are multiple ways…you can add storage, pumping ability, they give you some options. We are trying to work through all of that, and see where we need to be.”

So, what is generally reviewed when looking at a new potential system?

“Number of gallons per capita that are stored, pumped, and the ability to produce. All that,” Stafford said.

If you have questions, contact the city at 936-825-6475.
