The Navasota City Pool is holding an opening for summer this week!
“Finally, we have the pool ready. We hired seven lifeguards, half of which have been trained, half will start soon. We are going to do a soft opening this Wednesday, June 16th, from 1 pm until 7 pm. But, due to staffing issues, we will not be able to stay open the rest of the week,” said Colton Haffey, Parks and Rec director for the city. “So, our grand opening will be next Wednesday, the 23rd.”
The hours once the big opening happens will be 1 pm to 7 pm, Wednesday through Sunday. Haffey added that they are having other events this summer as well.
“We will have swim lesson ready by the 15th, and will post a link to that on our Facebook page. We are also planning on doing water aerobics, those details still need to be worked out, but will be released very shortly,” said Haffey.
The soft opening of the Navasota pool is set for this Wednesday, from 1 pm until 7 pm, then will close for the rest of the week. Regular hours will resume next week.
