There are a few big projects that will be getting underway soon in Navasota.
About two weeks ago, Navasota city council approved a construction bid for replacing the sidewalks on Washington Avenue. That project finally has a start date, according to city manager Brad Stafford at last night’s city council meeting.
“Had our pre-construction conference for the sidewalk replacement in the 100 block of Washington Avenue, near the theater. That project will start on Monday,” Stafford said.
There was also another update on the Railroad Street drainage project.
“Today, we received the letter awarding us two million dollars for the drainage project on Railroad Street,” said Stafford. “So, all of our connecting projects are moving.”
The sidewalk construction , again, begins on Monday, March 4th and there is no timetable set for the drainage project.
