Navasota Council Talks Growth

August 10, 2015 by Willy1550

With more and more folks both visiting, and moving to the County of Grimes, Navasota City Council recently retreated for a whole day to discuss how to attract them to this neck of the woods.

City Manager Brad Stafford tells Navasota News, Council Members also discussed a range of current infrastructure needs; like a new grapple truck to more effectively deal with brush piles.

And to help bring more business to the city, he reports they discussed the possibility of creating more signs to help visitors find their way around town.

And speaking of getting around town, Stafford adds the council decided it will continue considering the issuance of bonds for roadway improvement, even briefly considering the possibility of building bridges over the railroad tracks, though that would take a tremendous amount of cooperation between several different government and private entities.

And he stresses that all of these discussions have just begun. So if there is anything you think council should be talking about, Stafford urges you to let city hall know about it by calling 936-825-6475.
