The City of Navasota has made some major drainage improvements around town in the last couple years. And, the new systems got their first test with heavy downpours the last two weeks. So, did the new drainage hold up well against all that rain?
City Manager Brad Stafford said on Grilling Stafford recently yes, things have looked all normal.
“Luckily, the rain has fallen at a pace where…it was not easy to tell if it would flood or not…which, hopefully we will not see any flooding, because that is a considerably larger drainage pipe than what we had out there,” Stafford said. “Hopefully everything will be okay, but it seems alright right now.”
