Navasota High School given ‘all clear’ after morning bomb threat

February 12, 2020 by Andre Perrard

Navasota High School students have returned to class following a possible bomb threat on Wednesday morning.

Navasota ISD first posted the alert to the incident on their Facebook page around 8:50 am, and began investigating if the threat was credible. Students were evacuated for their safety as Navasota PD and Navasota Fire responded to the scene.

After a sweep of the building, Navasota PD gave the all clear and determined that it was not a viable threat to the high school, the district said in the Facebook post around one hour after the initial post. Students were allowed back into to the building a short time later.

The district said the investigation will continue alongside Navasota PD.

If you have any information regarding the incident, you are encouraged to contact the police department at 936-825-6124.
