The passing of the 41st president and the state funeral has caused Navasota ISD to schedule changes for Thursday, as the president’s train will come right through Grimes County.
On Thursday, Navasota ISD will have early release for all schools. High Point Elementary will be getting out at 11 am, Webb and Brule Elementary will be getting out at 11:30 am. Navasota High School, Jr High and the NELC Campus will release at noon. All normal evening activities will resume as scheduled.
The train will pass through the Plantersville area near High Point Elementary and then through the City of Navasota on Thursday.
