The Navasota Kickstart Kids had another successful outing at the Texas KickStart Kids Karate State Championships last weekend.
In all, 12 students from Navasota attended the Tournament on April 30th in Irving, which featured over 700 students from 65 KickStart Kids schools across the state.
Crowned as state champion in Weapons Performance was Grace Mendez, who also brought home a silver medal, bronze, and a Grand Championship Belt in overall Advanced Division.
Lillian Mahan too home four silver medals in Weapons, Black Belt Open Performance, Traditional Performance, and Point Sparring.
Christopher Price tallied two silver and two bronze medals, William Feldhans a Silver Medals, and then Kyla Hataway and Bridget Storemski took home bronze medals. Mason Sauer, Gabriella Pinto, Edgar Hernandez, Alex Pascual, Natalie Jones, and Brandon Ellis all were named honorable mention.
