As summer nears for the kids, parents might need some activities to keep them busy. And the Navasota public library will have plenty for you to choose from during the vacation months!
“Really great programs on Monday nights through June and July. We have the Houston Museum of Natural Science coming, we will be doing virtual programming with SeaWorld…our sign up party for Summer Reading program is happening May 27th, from 4 pm until; 5:30 pm at the library,” said Tiffany Salmon from the library speaking during last night’s city council meeting.
“We encourage the kids to come out and get signed up…also in that, they will get a reading log. They can read, or be read to, every day, Monday through Friday, for 30 minutes. At the end of that week, they can bring it to the library, and get a prize every week throughout the summer.”
She said as well they will have a Nature Camp, plus the Scholastic Book Fair will return later this summer.
