Navasota man accused of stealing car in College Station arrested

A Navasota man is in the Brazos County jail after being accused of stealing a car last year.

According to the College Station police arrest report, investigators matched one fingerprint from the car to the suspect. The man is also awaiting trial in three misdemeanor cases.

The man is identified as 18 year old Dekeimus Jessie of Navasota. A CSPD Detective says Jessie is a suspect in numerous stolen vehicles, including stealing one vehicle in Navasota, driving to BCS to commit vehicle burglaries, and stealing another to drive back to Navasota.

Jessie denies stealing a car last November from a College Station apartment parking lot, and says he does not know how the fingerprint got there.

Jessie is accused in separate cases of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, evading arrest and two counts of criminal trespassing.

He is being held int he Brazos County Jail on bonds totaling $25,000.
