Navasota man arrested for threatening to kill wife on Valentine’s Day

February 15, 2023 by Willy1550

A Navasota man is in jail on terrorist threat charges after dragging his wife by the hair and threatening to kill her.

Brazos County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the home in Millican Tuesday night, where the reporting neighbor said the mans wife came over crying about the altercation.

The woman said the man began yelling about the home being dirty, before demanding she sign over the deed to the home, or he would kill her.

Police finally spoke with a heavily intoxicated 64 year old Mark Ruben Wade of Navasota, who eventually admitted to saying he would beat her, but not kill her.

It is Ruben’s 12th time in jail since 1998, and faces a charge of Terroristic Threat against a Family Member.

He remains in jail on bonds totaling $4,000.
