A Navasota man is in the Brazos County jail for the 18th time since 2000 after officers find an ounce of meth in his car.
The car was initially stopped on Tuesday afternoon for an unsafe lane change. The driver refused consent to search the vehicle, and the K9 unit made a positive alert on the vehicle.
Inside, officers found approximately one ounce of methamphetamine in a clear plastic bag, plus marijuana residue and a join were found.
39 year old Lawrence Richard Bedford of Navasota was taken to jail on charges of Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Subtance PG2 between 4 and 200 grams.
At last check, Bedford remains in jail on bonds totaling $18,000.
