Navasota man busted in Brazos County’s largest narcotics seizure ever

April 1, 2019 by Andre Perrard

A Navasota man has been arrested in College Station on possession of drugs and a gun.

26 year old James Dionte Hood of Navasota was arrested on Friday following a search of an apartment in College Station, where the police made the discovery of thousands of dollars worth of illicit drugs and a handgun.

In total, there were 24,000 ecstasy pills with an approximate street worth of $242,000, just under four ounces of cocaine with a value of $3,415 and crack cocaine valued at $200. In addition, officers seized $23,000 in cash from the apartment. Officers also found a small amount of marijuana and prescription cough syrup.

Hood is being held in the Brazos County jail on bonds totaling 485 thousand dollars. That’s based on Hood being on parole due to a prior felony narcotics conviction and his gang affiliation.
