Navasota man facing theft charges after stealing close to $200 of merchandise from Bryan Walmart

A Navasota man is in jail for the second time in the last 14 days after eating a sandwich at Walmart then walking out with close to $200 in items.

Bryan Police responded to the Walmart on Briarcrest on Saturday morning to question 48 year old Nathaniel Steptoe of Navasota. Surveillance showed him take items that included body oil, a body cleanse, mouse bait, two sandwiches, and a fishing reel.

In total, all the items tallied out to $186, and he admitted to taking them.

Steptoe was arrested and charged with Theft, and released after posting a $2,000 bond.
