Navasota man jailed after allegedly instigating a physical altercation with gang signs

February 10, 2022 by Willy1550

A Navasota man was thrown in jail over the weekend after allegedly flashing gang signs outside a bar.

That happened in the Northgate district in College Station on Saturday night, according to the CSPD arrest report. Officers found two groups in a verbal altercation, and tried getting them to disperse. The two groups were challenging one another to a physical fight, and began walking to a parking garage known for fights.

Officers caught up with the groups, and found one of the men, 20 year old Jaquarian Williams of Navasota, had removed his shirt in 26 degree weather, and screamed “Five Deuce” at the group, which is a reference to the Crips criminal gang.

Officers believed Williams was intentionally trying to start an altercation, and arrested him, charging him with Disorderly Conduct – Offensive Gesture. He was released after promising to make future court appearances.
