Navasota man jailed for second time in last seven days after breaking into girlfriends apartment

June 6, 2022 by Willy1550

A Navasota man who entered his girlfriends apartment this weekend and caused over $800 in damage is in jail for the 12th time in the last decade.

The arrest report from Bryan police says the man’s girlfriend of 5 years called police early Sunday morning, and explained that 32 year old Antron Jaquion Harris of Navasota was inside the deadbolt locked apartment, breaking items inside after taking his girlfriends phone and running off.

Officers attempts to breach the apartment, which contained 3 children as well, finally availed, and Harris compliantly went to jail.

The girlfriend also claims that Harris grabbed her arm forcefully during the altercation.

Harris faces charges of Criminal Mischief between $750 and $2,000, and Criminal Trespass. Harris was arrested last weekend as well on theft charges stemming from a separate January incident.

He remains in jail on bonds totaling $8,000.
