Navasota man jailed on warrant, plus new drug charges after College Station traffic stop

November 4, 2021 by Willy1550

Officers stopping a car for speeding in College Station ends with arrest of a Navasota man for drug charges, and another warrant.

The CSPD arrest report says an officer stopped a Black Honda Accord on Saturday for travelling 50 to 60 miles per hour in a 35 mile per hour zone.

Upon making contact with the driver, identified as 20 year old Ricardo Andre Ostiguin of Navasota, they discovered he had a felony warrant out of Grimes County for Possession of a Controlled Substance between 4 and 200 grams.

He was arrested, and taken to the Brazos County jail. While there, a search of Ostiguin found a cartridge of THC Oil. Ostiguin stated he had forgotten about it, saying he smokes “every blue moon.”

He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and was also jailed for his Grimes County warrant.

He was released after posting a $12,500 bond.
