A Navasota man was one of two people killed Friday in a pair of College Station shootings.
CSPD says the incident happened near Bee Creek Park around 2 pm Friday, when officers responded to an unrelated call and heard gunshots. Upon arrival, they found a man with a gunshot wounds, and began life saving procedures. That man, 30 year old Delshawn Wadlington of College Station, later died from his injuries.
Another 911 call was received of a man, carrying a gun, heading into the park. He was seen exiting a wooded area by responding officers, and officers saw the man pull a handgun out, according to CSPD.
The officers gave multiple commands to drop the weapon. The report says Finnie began waiving it around, and that’s when a CSPD officer fired one shot, that took the man down.
He was identified as 22 year old Albert Finnie Junior of Navasota, and died from his injuries on scene.
CSPD was still searching for a third suspect involved. They also said they will investigate the shooting which killed Finnie.
