A Navasota man faces a controlled substance charges after being stopped for speeding on Highway 30 Saturday night.
The arrest report from the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office says they clocked the Ford pick up going 72 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour zone, and stopped right outside Roans Prairie.
Officers immediately noticed the driver acting abnormally with dilated pupils. The report says he stumbled through answers, changing them mid sentence, and spoke in a mumbled, low tone. At one point, the passenger, tried answering a question for the driver.
The driver said there might be some remnants of marijuana in the car, and police searched inside. They found inside a glass jar containing THC wax, and found more THC in another small tube. In all, the total weight of the wax was 31 grams.
19 year old Weston Gregory Pegoda of Navasota was taken to jail, and faces charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance PG2. He was released after posting an $8,000 bond.
