As they do every year, minus the pandemic filled 2020, the special olympics is returning to Navasota for their regional tournament.
Mayor Bert Miller says the kids return on March 28th, and encourages everyone to get involved, no matter the way.
“It starts at 8 am, and I know many city staff and other community members volunteer,” said Miller at Monday’s City Council meeting. “Also, if you cannot volunteer, they need people in the stands to cheer, and encourage the kids. So, if you can do that, it would be great as well.”
The Special Olympics are at Rattler Stadium March 28th. For more information on volunteering, contact the city.
