A Navasota man faces a drug charge plus a DWI after being stopped for speeding in College Station.
That took place Saturday morning around 3 am on Deacon. The man was stopped for travelling 38 miles per hour in a 30mile per hour zone. The driver told the officer he was under 21 years of age, and had consumed four 12 ounce beers at a Friends hours about 5 hours prior, but did not remember what time he had his last drink.
The officers also noticed a marijuana grinder in the back seat, and a vape pen in the front. The driver told officers he had about 2 grams of weed in the truck, where it was found by officers.
The driver then performed Field Sobriety Tests, which he failed.
He was arrested, and identified as 20 year old JC Diego of Navasota. He faces charges of Possession of Marijuana under 2 Ounces, and Driving Under the Influence. He was released later that day after posting a $3,300 bond.
