Navasota Police stayed busy this week, as they assisted College Station police in arresting 5 robbery suspects on Thursday.
According to a release from College Station Police, officers responded to a robbery at the T-Mobile store at 4400 Highway 6 South around 6:23 pm.
Four men reported to have entered the store, threatening violence to gain access to the store safe. The men took iPhones, Apple Watches, AirPods and Samsung Notes before leaving in two vehicles.
The first vehicle was stopped just north of Navasota on Highway 6 Around 6:42 pm, containing two suspects. The second vehicle was stopped on Highway 6 south of Navasota 10 minutes later, containing three suspects. Both vehicle were stopped without incident.
All five were arrested and jailed from the Houston area. Three were identified as 27 year olds Jaqweec Biggles and Michael Dwayne Smith and 21 year old Jarvis Marcele Flint, all from Houston. The other two were identified as 25 year old Terry Jarome Simmons and 23 year old Dedsimon Melvel Ford, both from Spring.
Also assisting was the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and Texas DPS.
All five were charged with robbery, a second degree felony and booked in the Brazos County Jail.
All stolen items were returned and no one was injured during the incident.
