Last week,we reported that the first suspect in the A&B Food Mart robbery from August was arrested. However, the second suspect was still on the run.
19 year old Deeldre Richardson turned himself into authorities on October 5th for his part in the robbery. Now, the second suspect, 24 year old Jamal Brooks, has finally been caught.
Authorities said the two went into the A&B Food Mart on August 23rd around 11:30 pm wearing dark clothes and masks. One of the two ended up displaying a weapon in the demand for cash. At the time, Navasota PD chief Shawn Myatt said more than $1,000 was taken.
Richardson, who was arrested on October 5th, was released after posting $20,000 bond. Brooks remains in the Grimes County Jail. If you have any other information regarding the crime, you are encouraged to call Navasota PD at 936-825-6124.
