11 people were arrested Thursday morning after an operation carried out by Navasota Police.
Navasota PD Shawn Myatt says it was the result of months of undercover work.
“What transpired today was a result of that work. We obtained some search warrants and served those warrants this morning (Thursday) around 6 am. It was for around three different residences here in Navasota,” said Myatt.
Myatt says several homes were involved and in the operation, officers found drugs, multiple weapons and stolen property. He says they are investigating the stolen property and it comes from all over the region.
“We have tied some of the thefts to here, College Station and there’s other agencies as far as Austin that some of the stolen property comes back to,” Myatt said.
The 11 arrested and their charges are identified below.
26 year old Francisco Sanchez-Eriquez, possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree felony.
30 year old Ocia Sweed, possession of marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
32 year old Julio Sanchez, possession of a controlled substance, State Jail Felony, 3 local traffic warrants.
35 year old Lindsay Spencer, possession of a controlled substance, State Jail Felony.
38 year old Melissa Wagner, possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree felony.
40 year old Janny McGinn, possession of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree Felony, possession of marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
41 year old Johnny McGinn, possession of a controlled substance, State Jail Felony.
41 year old Edgar Villegas, felon in possession of a firearm, 3rd Degree Felony, possession of a controlled substance, 3rd Degree Felony, possession of marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
58 year old Dennis Boring, possession of a controlled substance, State Jail Felony, possession of marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
60 year old Martin Boring, possession of marijuana, Class B Misdemeanor.
66 year old James Boring, possession of a controlled substance, 2nd Degree felony.
All of those arrested are from Navasota and all eleven were booked into the Grimes County Jail.
Also assisting in the arrests were the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), College Station Police Department, Brazos County Sheriff’s Office, and Department of Public Safety.
