As gas prices sit near all time highs still, siphoning and theft of gas has increased nationwide. Navasota is now no exception to that, as police are investigating the theft of over 4,000 gallons of diesel from the Circle T Truck Stop.
That theft happened last week at the truck stop, just off Highway 6 at Highway 105. Officers say around 4,600 gallons total were taken from the tank at the store. There were no details given about how the suspects managed to get the gas, or where they stored it.
An investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been made.
