Even amid the pandemic, the Navasota Public Library is staying busy! From new library cards to helping patrons, librarian Tiffany Sammon says they have had a ball helping out folks when they have needed it.
“We had 90 computers users in the month of November, which is an average of about four to five per day. Which, with that, I just want to say, we have had so much fun with our patrons. We have gotten to do things like help them renew their driver’s licenses, we got to track down a money order like detectives, we learned how to embed text into a PDF to be able to send a manuscript to a publisher. So, we are really having a blast, we are learning right along with them,” said Sammon at Monday’s Navasota City Council meeting.
She said they received 20 new patrons in November, and garnered around $350 from book sales and various other activities.
Sammon says they have a special Christmas present for the community as well.
“We are offering FREE books in the months of December, as our gift to the community. So, come in, take them by the box, we will help you load your car,” Sammon said.
She said they will also be having a family holiday movie night this coming Monday, December 21st, at the library. For more on that, contact them at 936-825-6744.
