Navasota’s HealthPoint Clinic is moving locations.
Approved at the most recent city council meeting was the site plan for the new clinic. Currently, they are near Dove Crossing in an office building, but have over expanded, and simply need more room. CEO Eric Todd spoke to council, saying it was long overdue.
“We are proposing a clinic that will house four physicians or physicians assistants for mid-level providers, as well as two behavioral health specialists, telehealth, as well as a dentists and dental hygenist,” he said.
The new facility, which would be on the Highway 6 feeder road near Neal Street, is about 7,000 square feet, and one of the largest projects the HealthPoint board has ever approved.
“It is a real commitment to Navasota, and the growth we see coming in the future for Navasota,” Todd said.
He noted they are considering an additional 2,300 square foot addition to the building, but have not approved that.
The clinic offers the COVID-19 vaccine, and are open to anyone insured, or not insured.
